Environmental Policy
Extinguishing agents other than portable water types cannot be disposed of on waste ground and in storm drains during extended servicing as this contravenes both The Water Resources Act 1991 and Groundwater Regulations 1998.
The Environment Agency is concerned about the effects of firefighting foams on the environment in terms of short them de-oxygenating damage to water courses and long-term toxicological effect to wildlife and ultimately us. A small discharge can have a drastic effect and the fines are significant.
Here at AB43 Solutions Ltd, we ensure all extinguishers are properly disposed of, adhering to Scottish government guidelines.
